Hi Rajeev,

Check whether you have the control files in place as per your spfile.

hello List,

I am new to list and as well as new to oracle.
I have installed oracle 9.0.1 on RedHat 7.3.
And now if i do now "dbstart " gives me following error

"error in identifying controlfile, check alert log for more info "

i checked lof and got the following lines there

PMON started with pid=2
DBW0 started with pid=3
LGWR started with pid=4
CKPT started with pid=5
SMON started with pid=6
RECO started with pid=7

ALTER DATABASE MOUNT

ORA-00202 (See ORA-00202.ora-code.com): controlfile: 'ora_control1 '
ORA-27037 (See ORA-27037.ora-code.com): unable to obtain file status
Linux Error: 2: No such file or directory
Additional information: 3

ORA-205 (See ORA-205.ora-code.com) signalled during: ALTER DATABASE MOUNT...

Please suggest me something.
